Year 6 | Home Learning Timetable for Week Beginning 18th January

Hi Year 6,

We have been so impressed with how many of you attended the live Maths lessons last week and completed the online assignments.  We are really proud of how hard you are working - you have done some brilliant work!  It was so lovely to see so many of your faces and hear your voices as you joined in with the live lessons.  We are also impressed with how many of you are completing the Purple Mash activities too.

This week, we will be teaching two live lessons each day - Maths in the morning (log in at 9:15) and English in the afternoon (log in at 1:35).  We will also be setting a reading task and one other lesson for you to do each day:

Monday - French

Tuesday - Big Question

Wednesday - PSHE

Thursday - Science

Friday - Computing

You could use the timetable below to help you organise your day:

Daily Timetable
By 9am	Up, dressed and ready for the day
9:00	Times Tables Rock Stars
9:15	Log onto Microsoft Teams ready for the live lesson
9:30	Maths lesson – live on Microsoft Teams
10:30	Exercise – Body Coach workout or one of Mr Pye's sport challenges
11:00	French / Big Question / PSHE / Science / Computing (set on Microsoft Teams)
12:00	Lunch
1:00	Reading task (set on Microsoft Teams)
1:30	Break / Exercise
1:35	Log onto Microsoft Teams ready for the live lesson
1:45	English lesson – live on Microsoft Teams
2:45	Break / Exercise
3:00	Purple Mash activities
3:30	Free time
Before bed	20 minutes of reading

As you can see from the timetable, we want to make sure you are reading every day so please make sure you read your book for at least 20 minutes – just before bed is a good time!

It is also really important that you exercise every day for at least 30 minutes – go outside for some fresh air if you can and do one of the Body Coach's workouts: The Body Coach TV - YouTube  Mr Pye has also been posting some great sporting challenges on the Blog for you to try!

Year 4 | Dojo points this week

Lots of dojo points have been earned this week. If you have been on the live lessons and completed work on Purple Mash then you have been awarded 5 dojos. Some children have extra dojos for posting blog comments.

Let's see how many you can earn next week. I'll be checking work and all of the Year 4 team will be awarding them for great effort and for those children giving all challenges a go.

Year 6 | Your French work for this week (beginning 18/01/21)

Salut year 6!

I was very impressed with the work I got back from you this week so thank you very much and keep it up!

This week, we are going to start a new topic: how to write sentences about the subjects you have today on your timetable (writing in the present tense). I have put a PowerPoint with all the new work as well as the way to pronounce them on Teams. Please look at this before you attempt any of the other activities and make sure that you refer back to it when you need help. You will then be able to complete 1 of the 3 challenges on Teams and the activity on Purple Mash. These will all be available on Monday the 18th until Sunday the 24th of January.
