This week in our maths lessons, we have been revisiting simple addition. We have been so impressed with how the children have recalled the process of practical addition and used mathematical language.

Welcome Back!

by Mrs Cain

Hi everyone!

Welcome back after a wonderful Easter holiday.

We are excited for our final few terms in Reception. This half term our Big Question is "Where does our food come from?". In Maths we will be learning about shape, both 2D (flat shapes) and 3D (solid shapes) as well as more additon and subtraction.

  • Please continue to read your book as often as you can at home and practise your Reading Bee words.
  • By this point in the year it is an expectation that all children should be able to write their name independently. This is something to keep practising at home please.
  • As the months become warmer please ensure jumpers and cardigans are all named and it may be useful to bring a hat to school.

Any questions or concerns please always see the adult on the door.
