Our Art lessons during Black History Month

by C Nugent A Bowen

We learnt about Hatshepsut.  She became one of the most successful pharoahs in Ancient Egypt.  Women were not allowed to be pharoahs but she stood in for her young son.

Kente Cloths.  We designed and made Kente cloths. We found out that they originated with the Ashanti people of Ghana.

Reading Swap Boxes

by Mrs Collier

We had our Reading Assembly to celebrate the children who have managed to read at least three books from their Book Swap Box.  Miss Porter read from "Kensuke's Kingdom" by Michael Morpurgo and the winners of the prize draw all received book prizes and certificates.  Well done to everyone who is reading from the Book Swap Boxes!
