Homework

by Mr Hughes & Miss Porter

It has been another busy week in Year 6 and you have all really impressed the teachers with your calm and sensible approach to our assessment week. It is never easy to complete test papers but you have all shown off just how much you have learnt this term and had a very mature approach. Well done! Keep up the calm and sensible attitude to learning in our final week of the term.

Purple Mash

On Purple Mash this week, we have set the following tasks:

1) Reading - Write a book review. What book would you recommend for our class library? Why?

2) Maths - Fraction Wall. Play the game and refresh your knowledge of fractions before we start our new Maths topic in January.

3) Science - Light & Shadows Quiz

4) Science - Shadows sentence activity

Spellings

Practice your Spelling Olympics list over the weekend. Please ask your teacher if you need a new copy of the lists.

Times Tables

Keep practising your multiplication tables on TT Rockstars: Times Tables Rock Stars: Play (ttrockstars.com)  Will anyone be a Rock Hero by the end of next week?

Reading

Remember to read for at least 10 minutes every day.  When you read, record it in your yellow Reading Record book so that you can get your Dojos when you swap your book on Thursday!

Remember that you can get in touch if you have any questions.
