Homework - Week 5

Well done Year 6 for another wonderful week of hard work!  You have written some fabulous stories in English; really got to grips with co-ordinates in maths and impressed all the teachers with your knowledge about light and how it travels in science lessons!

Purple Mash

On Purple Mash this week, we have set the following tasks:

1) Maths - Work on co-ordinates

2) Spelling quiz

3) Typing practice

4) French - Practise your French numbers!

Spellings

Practise your spellings for the test on Thursday.  The rule you are learning this week is: i before e except after c!

Times Tables

Keep practising your multiplication tables on TT Rockstars: Times Tables Rock Stars: Play (ttrockstars.com)  Will anyone be a Rock Hero by the end of next week?

Reading

Remember to read for at least 10 minutes every day.  When you read, record it in your yellow Reading Record book so that you can get your Dojos when you swap your book on Thursday!

Half Term Homework

Well done to you all on a fantastic first half term in Year 6!  We have been really impressed with all the hard work that you have put in and everything that you have achieved during lessons.  We have set you some homework to do during your week off school:

Purple Mash

1)  Maths: Multiplying 4-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers

2)  Maths: Multiplying 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers

3)  English: Do you know how to punctuate direct speech?

4)  Engish: Spelling quiz

5)  Science: Digestive system labelling activity

Spellings

Over half term, we want you to practise your spellings for the first round of Spelling Olympics!  Practise the blue set of Spellings so that you are ready for the quiz after half term!
