We've had a brilliant start to the new half term in years 4, 5 and 6! Here are our well-deserving Stars of the Week and Wow Work Winners - we are very proud of you all! 😊
Stars of the Week
Wow Work Winners
We went on a walk to the library with our friends from nursery. The librarian read us lots of different stories, and they were so much fun, some even made us giggle loudly! Then we sang action songs like "5 monkeys swinging in the trees", and we pretended the crocodile was chasing us. After that, we explored the library and found a cozy spot to read the books we picked. We also read with our grown-ups. Playing with toys was super fun too! Before we left, most of us got a new library card, and we all got stickers! We can't wait to go back to the library with our families.
Today in computing Year 5 learned how to download code onto a microbit!
Recently, we have been learning about algorithms. We used the glockenspiels to create a musical phrase and then wrote these out as instructions to be followed.
Then we moved onto the computers and developed our own 5-note composition which we then downloaded onto our microbits and played for everyone to hear!
Have a go at creating your own piece of music at home on this website: https://makecode.microbit.org/#editor
