School is currently open to pupils in all year groups but the Delta variant of COVID-19 is becoming more prevalent in the city. With this in mind, please remember to wear a face covering when on the school site - this will help to keep school open for as many children as possible. When arriving and departing, please follow the one-way system and keep a distance from other families. If you or any member of your family experience COVID-19 symptoms please isolate and book a test. SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disability

All pupils in school receive quality first teaching.  This means that a range of teaching and learning styles are used and appropriate challenges are set for every child within a curriculum matched to their needs.

If a child is experiencing problems which make it difficult for them to learn, make good progress or engage with daily school life, they are placed on our additional needs register.  School and home will work together to plan the most appropriate kinds of provision to meet the child's needs.

We have a highly committed and experienced inclusion team at Old Moat who work closely with a range of specialists.  If you would like to share any concerns with us please contact Vicki Foreman (acting SENDCo) or Julie Walsh (Parent Support Advisor) who will be happy to help or signpost you to the right member of the team.

"Teaching is good and outstanding practice is evident."
