SEND

Special Educational Needs and Disability

All pupils in school receive quality first teaching.  This means that a range of teaching and learning styles are used and appropriate challenges are set for every child within a curriculum matched to their needs.

If a child is experiencing barriers which make it difficult for them to learn, make good progress, or engage with daily school life, they are placed on our additional needs register.  School and home will work together to plan the most appropriate kinds of provision to meet the child's needs.

We have a highly committed and experienced inclusion team at Old Moat who work closely with a range of specialists.  If you would like to share any concerns with us please contact Kelly McNicholas (Inclusion Manager & SENDCo) or Julie Walsh (Family Support Worker) who will be happy to help or signpost you to the right member of the team.

"All pupils achieve well. They make good progress in reading, writing and mathematics."
